Happiness Books & Productions (Happiness Books) is an independent, 100% black women-owned company fostering quality storytelling. We are committed to discovering stories by underrepresented voices that entertain, inform, and innovatively tackle socio-political issues.

Our goal is to publish bold and relatable fiction and non-fiction by exceptional local authors. Aligned with our mission to cultivate a reading culture beyond the classroom in South Africa, we translate popular literature, currently available in English, and make it accessible to a wider audience in their native languages. We also seek works with potential for film or television adaptation.
